Moving Upward: Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay
The Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay has been family owned and operated since 1992, and is one of the most recognized and respected brands in the garage door industry. For over 90 years, the Overhead Door brand has stood for product quality, expertise, and professional service.
Overhead Door combines quality, dependable products with reliable service to consistently give home and business owners confidence and peace of mind. They provide everything from access systems to residential garage doors and openers to commercial and industrial overhead doors. They have installed doors for Raymond James Stadium, Amalie Arena, Port Tampa Bay, and Wal-Mart Super Centers around Tampa Bay. Anywhere you go, look at the garage doors and you will start to notice the iconic Overhead Door red ribbon logo.
Being a family company, Overhead prides itself on treating customers the way they themselves would like to be treated. It’s a value that the company embraces and instills in all of their employees.
It's What is Behind the Garage Door That Matters
What separates Overhead Door from their competition is their people. Their employees are dedicated to the company, with many of them working there for over 20 years. When searching for potential employees, they are constantly looking for someone with the right character, someone who has the same values as the company. Everyone from field technicians, sales estimators, and even dispatchers have to be trustworthy and personable.
They pride themselves on having the best field technicians in the industry. Overhead Door puts their technicians through a rigorous training program that allows them to provide the best service to their customers. They want their customers to be 100% satisfied with the installation and service.
Their training process allows them to find the perfect fit for each employee. They allow each employee to experience a different job at each point during the training process. From there, they evaluate which job allows the employee to be the most successful, and then they focus the employee’s skills to that area.
The Overhead Door company has built a great reputation in the community through the relationships created by their sales representatives with their customers.
They make their customers feel like family by going the extra mile for them. They want to be honest with their customers by providing an accurate price for what they need and not what they can sell them. Not only do they want to supply a product and service to their customers, but they also want to educate them as well.
“The difference looking at your garage door from the end of your driveway is probably not much, but it is the service behind it that we provide that sets us apart, ” said Bob Briesacher, Owner of Overhead Door Tampa Bay.
Overhead Door believes helping the community is the right thing to do. They have supported the Tampa Bay community because the community of Tampa Bay has supported them throughout the years. They have been very involved with food drives with Metropolitan Ministries, and are the official garage door company of the USF Bulls. They also sponsor many of the local youth baseball, soccer, and football leagues, as well as an annual 5k-road race to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Not only does Overhead Door support the local community, but they also support numerous national charities as well. Some of the organizations they are involved with on a national level include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Country Cares.
They also do a lot of charitable work that people will not hear about. In the past, Overhead Door has graciously donated a garage door to a widow of a veteran and other patrons who were in need of a secure garage door and were not able to afford the repair.
Their compassionate heart is what gives them an edge in building relationships with the community members. They are not just looking at the door, price, or bottom line. They are looking at what they can do to help that person. It might just be a garage door to Overhead, but it might be a solution to a problem the customer has been dealing with for a long time. They really true look to see how they can help those in need.
